Best Places to Take Your Key West Golf Cart Rentals

Have you ever tried Key West golf cart rentals to get around the island? Traveling by golf cart is one of the best choices you can make when visiting Key West. Due to the smaller size of the vehicle yet impressive room for people and belongings, they make a perfect choice for your group. Once you have a golf cart rental in your possession, it’s time to start planning everywhere you want to take it.

There are many great sights to take in throughout the mile-long island and you’ll likely want to check out as many as you can. However, we’ve pulled together a list of some of the most popular places to go via golf cart to get you started.

Smathers Beach

There are four beaches on Key West but the most popular one, by far, is Smathers Beach. This is the largest beach in the city and has over 150,000 visitors every year. When you come to the beach on your golf cart, it’s just five dollars an hour to park at the beach. This beach is open from 8:00 AM to midnight Monday through Saturday and noon to midnight on Sunday.

The amenities offered at Smathers Beach allow for activities for anyone in your group. In addition to the beach itself, there are also beach volleyball nets, volleyball courts, and jet ski rentals. There are also public restrooms and shower facilities available to use while you’re visiting, so staying all day is no problem at all.

Duval Street

Another great place to check out on your golf cart is Duval Street. Duval Street is Key West’s most popular street and has plenty of shopping, dining, and drinking places to check out. Park your golf cart a couple of blocks away for just four dollars an hour and then go exploring.

Duval Street often has live music playing as well as art galleries and coffee shops. If you’re looking for some souvenirs, you can find them here as well. Then, you can check out the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory or the Red Barn Theatre for some extra fun.

Once you’re done exploring, there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or something to drink. Sloppy Joe’s is a world-famous bar that’s located directly on Duval Street. Or check out Old Town Mexican Café if you’re looking for a full meal.

Southernmost Point of the Continental United States

Are you looking for the perfect photo op to go to on your golf cart? If so, the Southernmost Point of the Continental U.S. is a great option. Located at the corner of South and Whitehead Street, the landmark is available 24 hours a day for you to go stand by or take pictures with.

You may experience a wait for photos but it’s well worth it, nonetheless. You can see breathtaking views of the ocean while looking out towards the 90 miles between you and Cuba. You can also go and get ice cream or snow cones nearby after your visit to cool off from the hot Key West weather, all on your golf cart.
