There are a few things to know about renting scooters, but it’s worth a few minutes of your time in order to have what will be an excellent experience!
Scooter Rental Costs
At A&M Rentals we offer two different types of scooter rentals. If you’re traveling alone, you’ll want to check out our One-Seater model. For those with companions along the ride, we also offer a Two-Seater Deluxe model. There is a slight difference in price between the two, but both are affordable options!
- One-Seater model – $35 per day
- Two-Seater Deluxe model – $60 per day
Gas Costs
When renting a scooter from A&M, one of the best perks is that you’ll spend much less on gas! Scooters are much more fuel efficient than cars or trucks and that means you’ll be keeping more money for yourself.
Rent for Your Needs
We offer several different options when choosing how long you need your rental scooter. If you only need the rental for a few hours or a day, we can do that! We also offer long-term rentals longer than 24 hours if you plan on using your scooter for the duration of your stay in Key West. This lets you customize the rental to you, rather than paying for time you won’t be using the scooter! The cost of renting long term may also come with discounts not reflected in hourly or daily prices.
License Requirements
Unlike motorcycles, scooters don’t require any special license. You will need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license, however, in order to secure the rental. These are still vehicles being operated on public roadways.
Safety
Traffic laws still apply to A&M Rentals just as they would any other vehicle. Even though you’re on something smaller, you aren’t exempt from the rules! Just keep that in mind and have your eye on lights, road signs, and your surroundings.
The state of Florida does not have helmet laws for those over 16 years old, but it is highly recommended that drivers and passengers on scooters wear helmets.
