Those who like to snorkel will swoon over the marina park, where they can experience up-close encounters with Key West’s beautiful underwater fauna and flora. For history buffs, Higgs Beach also features a historic burial ground.

Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum

Bookworms will swoon over this unique attraction. You can easily access the Ernest Hemingway Museum with your golf cart for a day of learning and sightseeing. This mansion, built in 1851, is a gorgeous Spanish Colonial home carved out of native rock. 

Apart from being a wonderous architectural feat, this home holds a rich history of Ernest Hemingway’s life. Hemingway first moved here in 1931. Almost 100 years later, this home holds many personal items of Hemingway’s and paints a wonderful picture of his life here in the 1930s.

The Hemingway Museum is a great way to spend a day in Key West. You’ll surely learn something new, and experiencing this historical home firsthand is a treat for anyone.
