Best Places to Take Your Key West Electric Car Rental

Key West electric car rentals are a great way to get around the island. Once you have the keys, it’s time to decide where you want to go. Fortunately, there are plenty of great places to take your electric car rental!

Southernmost Point Buoy

One of the most popular attractions in Key West is the Southernmost Point Buoy. As the name suggests, this location marks the most southern spot in the continental United States and is just 90 miles from Cuba. The buoy is a perfect place for a photo op for any visitor of the Keys and is a must-see place while you’re here.

Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square

The Sunset Celebration is a nightly festival at Mallory Square full of vendors, street performers, food trucks, and, of course, sunsets! The festival is free to attend, but you’ll want to bring along some funds to support the local vendors throughout the area.

When driving to this event, it’s recommended to park on the street and walk into the square. Mallory Square has a parking lot, but it will cost you $4.00 an hour and can become super congested during the festival.

The Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory

This conservatory has been voted the number one attraction in Key West by the People’s Choice Awards, so you surely don’t want to skip it. Walk through this nature conservatory and take in the many beautiful plants and animals.

There is a first come, first serve parking lot at the back of the building and a large parking lot next door, so it’s easy to take your rental car to this spot. Be sure to check out the gift shop before you leave, and you can even leave your well-behaved pets with the admission attendant while you explore the grounds.

Tennessee Williams Theatre

If you love the arts, attending a show or event at the Tennessee Williams Theatre should be on your list! There’s almost always a show to catch, so check their schedule while you’re in town.

The theatre is in the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center, located to the left of the College of the Florida Keys. The Fine Arts Center offers free parking onsite, making this a great choice to check out in your rental car.

Key West Historic Seaport

If you’re looking for a spot with something for everyone, plan a day at the Key West Historic Seaport. You’ll find many unique shops, restaurants, and events that your whole group will surely enjoy.

There are plenty of paid parking lots around the Seaport so that you can find somewhere convenient for your rental car. When parking, ensure you display your paid parking ticket on your dashboard to avoid any hassle.
